Autumn Kalis

Coach Autumn graduated from New Trier in 2016, where she was a four-year basketball player, helping her team place 3rd at state in 2015 and competing in the state three-point contest her senior year. Autumn went on to play at Carthage College, earning All-CCIW and D3hoops.com All-Region honors while finishing her career ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in scoring and three-point shooting. She was also a four-time CCIW Academic All-Conference selection. After college, Autumn pursued her dream of playing professionally overseas while earning her Master’s degree at Anglia Ruskin University in England. She went on to play professionally in Portugal and Armenia. As a coach, Autumn has worked with athletes from youth to high school levels, including at Full Package Athletics and New Trier High School, where she now serves as the Girls Freshman A Coach.

Kelsey Coshun

Kelsey has 15 years of experience in her basketball career, including playing professionally in England and currently in France. She is an alumni of Carthage College, where she played for four years and earned a bachelor's degree in Social Work. Additionally, she holds a master's degree in Youth Work Leadership and Practice from Nottingham Trent University in England. With four years of coaching experience, Kelsey's focus is on teaching players the fundamentals of the game and helping them perfect their skills. Her coaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive environment that fosters growth. Kelsey is committed to demonstrating to athletes the positive impact that sports can have on a young person's life.

Madie Nitsch

Madie is a proven basketball coach with both the playing experience and coaching expertise to develop high-level athletes. As the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Carthage College since 2022, she plays a vital role in player development, practice planning, and recruiting, ensuring student-athletes are prepared for success on and off the court. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in fundamentals, emphasizing skill development, discipline, and basketball IQ. A standout player herself, Madie started 82 games at Carthage, finishing her collegiate career with 1,075 points (19th in program history), 162 three-pointers made (sixth in program history), and an 84.2% free-throw percentage (second-best in program history). Her on-court excellence earned her First-Team All-CCIW honors in 2017-2018, two CCIW All-Conference Second-Team selections, and three CCIW Winter Academic All-Conference awards. With a passion for fundamentals and a track record of success, Madie is dedicated to shaping the next generation of basketball players.

Casey Rothing

Casey grew up in Deerfield, IL, and graduated from Deerfield High School in 2003. A standout athlete, he earned a spot on the varsity basketball team as a sophomore and competed on the AAU travel circuit beginning in 4th grade. Casey went on to play one year of college basketball before transferring to focus on academics.

Throughout his playing career, he faced some of the top competition in the country, including several future NBA players. His passion for the game has continued to grow, and he is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and love of basketball with the next generation of athletes.

Derek Hall

For the past 15 years Coach Derek Hall has been a head coach for the Lake Forest Baseball Association. He was an NCAA Division 1 player for the University of Tennessee at Martin in the Ohio Valley Conference. Coach Hall graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2005, and has been coaching baseball ever since. He began his coaching career at The North Shore Baseball Academy in Highland Park, and also taught at Slammers Academy, Bat Speed Academy, and CrossFit Freedom, all here on the North Shore. Coach Hall was a Lake Forest High School standout for three years, he then transferred to Avon Old Farms Prep School in Connecticut on an athletic scholarship, during which time his team won two League championships.

Frank Sarillo

Coach Sarillo is currently a coach at Lake Forest Scouts and before that he was at Northern Knights Baseball (College Exposure) program. While there he assisted in developing 15-17 year old athletes in growing their baseball and life skills to give them the best opportunity to earn a college scholarship. Prior to Coaching at Northern Knights he founded and coached at Grayslake Rams (Pride) girls travel softball.

Nate Harris

Nate Harris, is highly experienced coach specializing in athlete training and development. Nate holds a B.S. in Kinesiology and boasts several years of experience in honing the skills of aspiring athletes. Nate's athletic journey began in high school where he distinguished himself as a three-year varsity student athlete. During this time, he garnered accolades such as a 2-time all-conference player, MVP, holder of 4 all-time school records, and maintained a career batting average above .300. Post high school, Nate pursued collegiate baseball at Mchenry County College, showcasing his skills as a Shortstop and 2nd Base player. Now, as a dedicated coach, Nate brings his wealth of experience and passion for athlete development to every training session. Kayla Collins

Kayla Collins is a former Division III collegiate pitcher and infielder with a deep passion for the game and a strong commitment to developing young athletes. During her standout sophomore season, she recorded a 13–3 win-loss record with a .773 winning percentage—the highest in school history—while batting .444 in conference play. Today, she brings that same competitive spirit and energy to coaching, helping players build confidence, sharpen their skills, and foster a true love for the game.
