Kelsey Coshun

Kelsey has 15 years of experience in her basketball career, including playing professionally in England and currently in France. She is an alumni of Carthage College, where she played for four years and earned a bachelor's degree in Social Work. Additionally, she holds a master's degree in Youth Work Leadership and Practice from Nottingham Trent University in England. With four years of coaching experience, Kelsey's focus is on teaching players the fundamentals of the game and helping them perfect their skills. Her coaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive environment that fosters growth. Kelsey is committed to demonstrating to athletes the positive impact that sports can have on a young person's life.

Josh Washburn

With 20 years of playing experience across the country. 10+ years of physical training experience. Learning from some of the best basketball/athletic trainers in the world Josh brings a wealth of knowledge to The Farm. Josh attended University of Minnesota Duluth and graduated from Carthage College. He graduated averaging 23 points per game and leading the conference (CCIW) in 3 pointers made. Josh takes pride in helping and teaching others. He will work with you to improve your skills and help you become elite in your sport.

Noah Portalatin

Noah Portalatin, a standout alumnus of Lake Forest High School, made a name for himself in his senior year by shooting an impressive 49% from beyond the arc. Recently, he has embarked on a training career, where he has quickly gained recognition for his dedication and effectiveness. Despite starting just last year, Noah has already worked with athletes ranging from young beginners to Division I talents and even professional players. He prides himself on building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of basketball and believes that rigorous practice is key to developing confidence and success in games. Currently, Noah is a rising sophomore on the Lawrence University men's basketball team, where he continues to excel both as a player and a mentor.

Derek Hall

For the past 15 years Coach Derek Hall has been a head coach for the Lake Forest Baseball Association. He was an NCAA Division 1 player for the University of Tennessee at Martin in the Ohio Valley Conference. Coach Hall graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2005, and has been coaching baseball ever since. He began his coaching career at The North Shore Baseball Academy in Highland Park, and also taught at Slammers Academy, Bat Speed Academy, and CrossFit Freedom, all here on the North Shore. Coach Hall was a Lake Forest High School standout for three years, he then transferred to Avon Old Farms Prep School in Connecticut on an athletic scholarship, during which time his team won two League championships.

Frank Sarillo

Coach Sarillo is currently a coach at Lake Forest Scouts and before that he was at Northern Knights Baseball (College Exposure) program. While there he assisted in developing 15-17 year old athletes in growing their baseball and life skills to give them the best opportunity to earn a college scholarship. Prior to Coaching at Northern Knights he founded and coached at Grayslake Rams (Pride) girls travel softball.

Jeff Lindberg

Coach Lindberg joins The Farm from the Northern Knights Baseball (College Exposure) program and Player’s Edge Baseball Academy. Jeff grew up in Wauconda, IL and went to Wauconda High School where he earned All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors. He played college baseball at Trinity International University where he was the starting shortstop for 4 years and named captain his senior year. He worked as a Sports Data Analyst at Stats Perform for 5 years, providing data and insights to MLB teams, broadcast teams, and other media outlets. He enjoys teaching the fundamentals as well as pushing players to their absolute best. He wants his players to love and enjoy the game, learn valuable life lessons, and build lifelong relationships.

Joseph Jagiello

Joe played baseball at Maine West High School and at Concordia University Wisconsin. He brings over 10 years of coaching experience at the youth and collegiate level including volunteer assistant coach at Oakton Community College, assisting Southern Nazarene University and Concordia University Wisconsin clinics, along with coaching Lake Forest Scouts 8-12U. He wants to give players the physical and mental tools that they need to prepare for the next level of play. He is happy to share his hitting/pitching skills with players to focus on the mechanics and fundamentals.

Lane Ochs

Lane was a 3 sport athlete all through high school playing football, baseball, and basketball. He went on to play baseball at Triton College and graduated from UW-Parkside. Since college Lane has been the Varsity football coach, Varsity baseball coach and a strength and conditioning coach at Indian Trail High School. Coaching has always been a passion of Lane's both as a player and now a coach. Giving back to the youth sports community holds a special place in his heart as he still remembers all of my coaches and the impact that they had on him as both a player and person. Being a role model for the kids is what drives him to be a better coach/person each day.

Miles King

Coach Miles is a baseball enthusiast who has been passionately playing the sport since he was young. He has played both college and high school baseball and has been coaching young athletes since the age of 18. Lee Weld
Coach Weld joins The Farm from the Northern Knights Baseball (College Exposure) program and Player’s Edge Baseball Academy. Lee grew up in Dana, IL and went to Fieldcrest High School where he earned All-State and All-Conference honors. He went on to play Division I college baseball at Southern Illinois University Carbondale where he was a relief pitcher for 5 years that included a redshirt year for an injury. At Southern, he finished 9th in career appearances with 76 and had a career 4.98ERA.  Coaching the Central Illinois Outlaws, Lee coached two MLB Draft Picks, with one (Mason McCoy) reaching the MLB in 2023. Two of the teams that Lee has had the privilege of coaching, 21 of the student-athletes have went on to play college baseball. Lee gives pitching, hitting, and defense lessons. Coach Weld has a strong interest in developing players to the best of their abilities on and off the field.

Nate Harris

Nate Harris, is highly experienced coach specializing in athlete training and development. Nate holds a B.S. in Kinesiology and boasts several years of experience in honing the skills of aspiring athletes. Nate's athletic journey began in high school where he distinguished himself as a three-year varsity student athlete. During this time, he garnered accolades such as a 2-time all-conference player, MVP, holder of 4 all-time school records, and maintained a career batting average above .300. Post high school, Nate pursued collegiate baseball at Mchenry County College, showcasing his skills as a Shortstop and 2nd Base player. Now, as a dedicated coach, Nate brings his wealth of experience and passion for athlete development to every training session. Softball Trainers

Hannah Smith

Hannah Smith has been playing softball since she was five years old. She has played for numerous travel programs across Illinois, which helped lead her to achieving her dreams of playing colligate softball. She currently attends Lake Forest College, where she is a junior pitcher for the Foresters, playing under head coach, Joe Kinsella, and pitching coach, Laura Fillipp. As a Forester, Hannah played a role in winning a Midwest Conference Championship, and has made two Midwest Conference Tournament appearances. As a freshman, she was named First Team All-MWC, MWC Newcomer of the Year, MWC Pitcher of the Year, and NFCA Third Team All-Region IX honors. Hannah in both her seasons with the Foresters has achieved significant academic honors including, 2x Academic All-MWC, Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete, and CSC Academic All-District honors.

Hannah has had experience coaching at the college exposure level. She was the pitching coach for her former travel ball program, Illinois Bombers 18U, for the 2022 summer season.

Lauren Herrmann

Coach Herrmann is originally from Hampshire, IL, and graduated from Hampshire High School in 2018, went on to play basketball for all 4 years while at Carthage College. She graduated from Carthage College in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Lauren is the Women's Basketball Graduate assistant coach at Carthage College, while getting her master's degree in Sports Leadership. She has over 5 years of experience training and working with athletes.

Corbin Cornelison

Coach C is a highly decorated combat veteran with 22 years in U.S. Special Operations serving as an elite Reconnaissance Marine, Marine Scout Sniper, and Navy SEAL operator. He is also a certified trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF), and both a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Coach C is passionate about helping people from all backgrounds and ability levels adequately prepare for the demands of life, sport, and profession in the most efficient way possible. In addition to his operational experience, Coach C has held numerous instructor positions and leadership roles throughout Naval Special Warfare (NSW) ranging from the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) schoolhouse in Coronado, CA, to the NSWs Training Detachment where he assisted in teaching and evaluating his fellow SEALs in Land Warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures in preparation for deployments overseas. Coach C was also hand-selected to help lead the Navy's Warrior Toughness Program, a Navy-wide human performance initiative arming enlisted sailors and junior officers with the tools needed to perform their duties and responsibilities under stress.
