He is also a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a licensed trainer through the National Counsel on Strength and Fitness (NCSF).

Corbin is passionate about helping people from all backgrounds and ability levels adequately prepare for the demands of life, sport, and profession in the most efficient way possible.

In addition to his operational experience, Corbin has held numerous instructor positions and leadership roles throughout Naval Special Warfare (NSW) ranging from the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) school house in Coronado, CA, to NSWs Training Detachment where he assisted in teaching and evaluating his fellow SEALs in Land Warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures in preparation for deployments overseas.

Corbin was hand-selected by NSW to help lead the Navy’s Warrior Toughness Program, a Navy-wide human performance initiative arming enlisted sailors and junior officers with the tools needed to perform their duties and responsibilities under stress.

Corbin has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston, WV, and is the owner and founder of Optimal Readiness LLC, a mental and physical performance training system that utilizes minimal equipment and bodyweight exercises programmed in periodized fashion to safely develop transferable strength and fitness for the purpose of longevity and functionality.

In addition to his knowledge and education in exercise science, Corbin relies heavily upon his experiences and the tacit knowledge gained from an extensive career in special operations to optimize performance and help his clients reach their goals and ultimately become the best version of themselves.
